Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about your drains or your drainage problem? We’ve answered some of the most common ones below.

The cost of drain unblocking depends on the type and location of the blockage, as well as the work needed to clear it. Our prices start from only £24. Get in touch with our friendly team, and we’ll talk you through the problem, explain your options and provide clear information about the costs involved.

If your drains are blocked, try to avoid running more water into the affected drains, particularly if wastewater is already backing up. Blockages can be caused by anything from everyday waste and grease to tree roots or damaged pipework. Our team can help identify the cause and recommend the best way to get things flowing again.

If you’re experiencing recurring blockages, unpleasant smells or unexplained drainage problems, a CCTV drain survey can help identify what’s happening underground. Using specialist camera equipment, we can inspect the inside of your drains and look for issues such as cracks, root intrusion and damaged pipes.

In many cases, yes! Depending on the condition of the pipework, drain lining can provide a way to repair damaged drains internally without extensive excavation. However, not every drain is suitable for lining, so we’ll assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate repair method.

The McCann Family Drainage Company provides professional drainage services across Lancashire and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re dealing with a blocked drain, need a CCTV survey or require drainage repairs, get in touch with our team and we’ll be happy to confirm availability in your area.
